Barangaroo Urban Design Competition

Selected to be exhibited with the top 25 submissions, Barangaroo is the largest urban designed city based development on Sydney Harbour. The intention of this proposal was to show how a positive reconnection with the city can take place through a diverse programme of financially and ecologically sustainable activities that are in dynamic combination with an innovative landscaping program.

studio505's scheme elegantly weaves a landscape of water saving and native planting into a densification of the urban network. Flexible floor plates in the office network is combined with a large water store, radical grandprix track proposal and a major lunar sculpture.
